"Love & Marriage"

A student asked a teacher, "What is love?"
The teacher said, "in order to answer your question, go to the wheat field and choose the biggest wheat and come back.
But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick."
The student went to the field, went thru first row, he saw one big wheat, but he wondered....may be there is a bigger one later.
Then he saw another big one... but may be there is a bigger one waiting for him, he thought.
Later, when he finished more than half of the wheat field, he start to realize that the wheat is not as big as the previous one he saw, he knows he has missed the biggest one, and he regrets.
So, he ended up going back to the teacher empty handed.
The teacher told him, "...this is love... you keep looking for a better one, but later you realise, you have already missed the person...."
"What is marriage then?" the student asked.
The teacher said, "in order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick."
The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, hence, when he reached the middle of the field, he picked one medium corn that he felt satisfied with, and came back to the teacher.
The teacher told him, "this time you brought back a corn.... you looked for one that is just nice, and you had faith and believed that this is the best one you will get.... this is marriage."*
Nice one, isn't it?

The Expansionist Meme....
I have been tagged by reema and waked up by lollypop, thanks dearOne religious work from a non-familiar tradition you’ll read:
The Quran...Just curious to know what it really preaches.
One music video–that you like–from your “least likely to listen to’ genre:
Instant karma! My least likely to listen gerne is Remixes, but that song is kinda cute.
A book from a genre you almost never read, that you have read, or you will read (promise!):
It would be "Power of your subconcious mind", thats something that will teach you to find the best in the worst. A typical psychological book.
Somewhere you’d never thought to go on holiday/vacation, and why it might be fun to go there?
South Africa would be it, and if i ever make it, i would like to ride the safaris and most important witness a kill inthe wild.
A sport or game you really hate, or haven’t tried yet, but are willing to give one more go:
Game i hate is an Oz game called footy, i think its stupid, coz its a game that lies between rugby and soccer. Actually they play soccer but throw and pass the ball around with hands insted of legs and just kick the goal by ur foot, and u cannot tackle the opponent. Its kinda really stupid. Anyways....!
A style of dance you probably won’t try (we won’t make you promise on this one):
Not a dance person anyways, but i probably wont try Salsa!
A career job you don’t feel you’re suited for, and why:
Telephone sales operator, justcant do that upselling .....!
An item that’s “thinking out of the box’ for this meme that hadn’t been included:
Whats that one thing you will anyways do even after knowing that its incorrect?
It’s there’s one thing in life you wanted to do, and will do because of this meme, what will it be?
I think i ll probably look out of the window and try some things in life, that i havent so far.
I tag Mumbai Guy, Priyanka, Mayur, Anu & Vani
Cheers!

Woke up early morning on Saturday and went to the temple at Helensburg. Its a hour and half drive on the princess highway and carrying onto the freeway, beautiful place, high up on the hill with stud farms around. It was all green and grazy as it is raining for past week. Cool breeze soon had me look for my jumper and wear it. My mind was in holy spirit and just felt the closeness to a spiritual force during the darshan. Then i headed for the canteen to have prasad. They provide with idli, wada, masala dosa, pulao, paratha etc .... That was pretty much my lunch. Just awesome.
Headed back straight to the weekly grocery shopping spree. After returning home watched Bhootnath, good movies, teaches a lot of lesson to small kids and even grown ups. Had pomfret fish for dinner. Ummm yummiee.
Couldnt open my eye till 10:00 am on sunday morning. Had some lazy breakfast (garlic bread), heard the weekly hindi radio for a while, checked some mails, chatted with a few friends and prepared chicken biryani for lunch. With some wine, biryani tasted even better. With my stomach full, caught up a lil nap. Had some tea in the evening and headed staright to park for an hour walk, with all this fatty stuff in me for past 2 days, i felt a walk is necessary.
Was bored of cooking time consuming food, but wanted to eat something that could tickle my taste buds, so thought of a dinner outside. So me and my roomie headed to the spot, a place where u have all cusines in a walk lane of 50 metres. While driving we decided to eat at a greek restaurant, but it was closed for renovation, so we went to Thai Riffic, a thai cusine. I tried the chef's special, Yellow curry .... hhhmm, delicious and my friend had Stir fry noodles with chicken. I had a bite, and i must say, it was fantastic. Too tired and lazy, i could barely manage to change clothes and get under my blanket.
Monday was a, getting in mode day, with lot of household work pending due to rains. I had a early start at 8:30. Too all my washing loads to the laundry at 9 am. I had to do 4 loads of 5 kg each, just imagine how much this rain has disturbed the schedule. It took me 3 hours to fininsh with all my laundry. But finally it was over and i was proud of myself. Had the left over biryani for lunch and headed to the theatres to watch Sarkar Raj. A good movie overall, with some unwanted drama, not so important scenes. Whatever, overall a good movie. After coming home late, i could only manage to make some alloo parathas and fill my stomach.
Thinking of the week ahead, i pumped myself up to the week.

A Silver is never Won, its the Gold that is Lost ....
I remember that day when i heard this statement for the first time in my life, and since then always believedin it and respected it in all phases and aspects of life.It was the day in office as usual, tensed, as we were nearing the end of our Quarterly Based Review (QBR), a few weeks away to be the best performing site throughout the world, competing against the best. This quarter has been one of the best our site has performed so far. A couple of more safe weeks and we r the Numero Uno throughout the world. The Emperor of this world.
Our Big Boss conducted a Managers meeting and we all, around 25 of us stepped in the conference room thinking that we've gonna have our butts kicked again. But so was not the case this time. It was a session that we all will remember throughout our lives. Some things we will cherish in all the good and the bad that we do, thereon.
So there was it, the results of the QBR, which our Big Boss had just brought back along with him from US of A. This was the first time when all the Site Leads were invited to US of A for the QBR (every other quarter, its only video conferenced). We all were so exited to be there and to know if we had kicked some ass or is our ass getting kicked again. After a few good words and a few if and buts and so on and so forth, we heard that we ranked second across the globe.
All of us were so happy and satisfied by the result, as it was the first time out Mumbai site had been in the Top 5. It was cheer and claps and congratulation to each other and gala time to have a party on. All fair and all happy moments, something to feel proud of.
That went on for a few minutes and then our Big Boss proceeded to wrap up the meeting with his final words of wisdom. Here is what he said (not exactly, but the meaning remains the same).
"Congratulation's on the second ranking through the globe. This has been the best ever out site has performed. By the pace and position we were in a few days ago, i thought we would be through this time on the top position, but to what so ever reason, we were given a silver medal. Not that we acheived it, or we earned it (at this moment all we thought was, why the hell is he saying that we were given and we did not earn it, we all knew how hard we had worked to reach that position), but someone has given it to us. Because, "A Silver is never Won, its the Gold that is Lost".
Very true as we realised what he meant. We never compete in a race to be second, we always wanna win. We never rank second coz we finish second, but coz we dont win the first place.
P.S. - No doubt we had all the grand celebrations across the whole site, but that one statement always mades me do whatever it takes to be Numero Uno.

This song had been on my mind for a few days now, many things rushing through my mind and too many things to do with so less options in life.Dont know if this is just the reason or something else is hurting me deep down. I always liked this song, heard it quite often, but today i m deeply sinking into this drakness, and i need to shout out loud to my self as my subconsious is taking over and telling me to just hang on.
This song is truly inspirational as its carrying me along and asking me to just hold on and hang in there in life, as life has something better to offer, something good is coming ur way.
Now m i really asking too much or i should just have to put my foot down and just stand still and go with the flow.
Suddenly unexpected, this day today, i need to just hang in, things will change and i know change is constant.
Everybody hurts .....

Is it really LUCK or RISK .....
Is luck opportunistic?I don’t know if luck plays an important role in any act of human life or it is just the right time that matters to get things done. Basically I m confused, if luck really exist and if yes, how do u prove it?
Many people say that a person needs to be luck to get certain thing, eg: a particular high paid job or a good car or the best house etc. etc. Is it so that only if you r lucky u can get all that? Can 99% hard work and efforts be less important against that 1% so called luck?
So is luck opportunistic? Is it selfish enough to be with only rich and beautiful people? Does it really knows whom to favour n whom not to. Is it to blame or mental guts play a vital measure to understand if it really helped?
Again, I might be contradicting my own words or may be I might differ from the actual topic. But you know, these r all my wage thoughts. Because I m trying to replace luck with a bit of risk.
Am I correct when I say that Luck is nothing but a bit of Risk?
Because all the rich, famous and beautiful people whom we say to be lucky have taken some or the other risk in life. Probably they have taken the right risk at the right time, as a reason of which they r what they r, if that small amount of risk that they played with had gone the other way they would have not been what they r today. Do I make sense when I say that?
A candidate might get that highly paid dream job by just answering a single question correct, correct means as per expected. It might be a stupid answer but a risky one.
A player playing any game needs to take risk while playing a particular shot. If he misses he is gone but if connected right he is the hero.
All rich n famous people have taken very calculated risk at a particular point of time, which makes them what they r today. Bill gates bloomed his idea from a garage and once when in debts, had offered a supplier 15% of Microsoft shares, guess what? The supplier said I have no interest or confidence in your business, I don’t need your partnership, give me my money. Imagine 15% of Microsoft shares $$$$$$$. Would u call that supplier unlucky? I would say he did no have guts to take a positive risk.
I dont know if i made sense, but i dont believe in Luck. I would say, its a little bit of calculated RISK.
Post your thoughts.
PS: Above article is just a running thought that i scribbed during my way back home. Was thinking about a few planned things in my life and trying to find reason for the best and the lost things that happened. Anyways ......

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

It was 1989, when my mom changed me from division C to division B as my class teacher was pregnant. So just that i dont have a mental study break in between the year, i was moved. I cried as i did not wanna seperate from my friends. But i thought who cared, but i was wrong, she only cared about my better.
Anyways, i was clubbed in with a few friends very quickly and some of us became very very good friends. We went to school together and came back together. Studied, played and fought as every other kid. I was in 2nd standard then. But my friends were my friends, and i was very proud of them.
Years went on and we went up higher and higher in grade. Started hanging out outside school, studies together, borrowed notebook when missed school, enjoyed school picnics etc etc. It was so nice to have all of them. But then in 1997, it was our SSC and soon we all realised that its time for us to bid good bye to a few forever. It was tough on everyone of us, as we were probably not prepared to take that challenege. We were still cushioned for each other, and emotions played a mjor part in everyones life. It showed how much we cared for each other, and how much we wanted to stay more in the same school. Together.
I had a few friends, but real good friends. Everyone enrolled in some or the other college for different streams and life changed suddenly. It was no more school. We could miss the lectures and still be ok. Life started playing its own turn now. It just reversed. Untill them life controlled us, but now on it felt as if we controlled life. Seriously, it was freedom.
I still made some new friends but my pool of school friends is still much stronger. We r in touch even today. Not many of us but really a few, and we meet regularly as much as we can.
Since in college, we kept in touch through phone calls and meetings as n when everyone was in town. Many of my friends went out of vasai for studies, but my best one was still there with me. And i made a few more best.
Life rolled and i finished graduation and then it was time to think and do something responsible. I found a well paid job and stuck to it for 3 years. It was such an amazing learning experience. I met so many big personalities of the market. Just amazing for a person of my calibre. After which i decided to think long term and came down to sydney for my further studies. Professional accounting was never going to be easy and away from house was just too much to handle in the beginnning. But life kept on teaching something new everyday and i just got used to this life very soon.
And today i m on the stage of just finishing my studies and i have started thinking of doing something responsible ahead. Many things, many responsibilities and many obligations. Life is all that we can take, and then i say to myself, "Bring em' on".
All this went so quickly with time, but all that kept it all together were my friends, very few, but my. I miss them just next to as much as i miss my family.
Many of my friends will be reading this and i m sure all this is related to our lives somehow. I m sure u ll try and find it and fix it.Just that i would like to mention a very small list of my friends .... but just scared that i might miss some .....
P.S : Above writing just was not on mind, but dont know y i just scribbled today. Pls understand ......

Busy Busy ....
Hi guys,
I have been away from blogging for quite a while now. Actually just busy with work. Starting my day at 6 am and hoping in bed only by 10 pm. But managed some time today to get back to something that i miss doing the most. BLOGGING !!
Last month and half has really been soo very busy with work. And on my weekend i m left with all the bloody laundry from the whole week and calling up back home. Did not find any time where i could post something. Was reading all u guys blog on an off but never could dedicate any time to post anything. Time is just flying and i m simply trying to catch up with it.
Just not finding enough time to do all the desired things, So many things to do and such little time, is my cry always. A bit more mental than physical. As i m always ready to grab the opportunity.
Had just been out for a office christmas party around the harbour, posting some pic of that cruise ride. Did not do anything special apart from work during this whole time.
As its summer holidays and christmas and new year just around the corner everyone is off on their holidays and work pressure is just building up, but thats a part of r job. Anyways ......
Ok ppl, i ll head off now, but as i m back i ll being knocking on regularly as usual again. My mailbox is just flooding and i need to reply to some asap.
